FROM ITS FOUNDATION, TILL TODAY
GoExport was founded in September 2007, in Bois-des-Filion, on the North Shore of Montreal, by Mathieu Alarie and Louis-Philippe Bourgeois. The two co-owners, with their experience in the development of commercial alliances, strategic partnerships and exports, are committed to developing sales of manufacturers in Latin America, a region of the world in full swing.
During their first year of operation in 2007, Mathieu and Louis-Philippe hired a first employee in Mexico. This represents the beginning of GoExport’s international expansion process. In 2008, GoExport was awarded a $15,000 loan under the “Desjardins Jeunes Entrepreneurs Laurentides” program to support its growth. GoExport opened its first international office in Irapuato, Mexico. During the following year (2010), Mathieu and Louis-Philippe continued to promote the expansion of GoExport in Brazil, leading to the hiring a first employee in São Paulo.
Given its strong success with sustained annual growth since its inception, GoExport was obliged to find larger and more central offices. In September 2011, the company moved to their current location on Gaspé street, in Montreal. The co-presidents also founded Fuelex, a division of GoExport, which aims to meet the growing demand for foreign technologies for the handling of petroleum products on the American continent.
Between 2011 and 2013, GoExport and its team continued to grow. GoExport’s workforce doubled, and a first office opened in Rio de Jaeniro (Brazil) in August 2013. GoExport has expertise in the following sectors: health, transport, agriculture, wood, oil & gas, fueling (aviation), fashion and convenience, industrial equipment.
