We are celebrating Joanie Desjardins’ fifth anniversary at GoExport! To mark this milestone, learn more about her journey within the company, her accomplishments, her goals for 2022 and much more.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

An impressive career\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Joanie was initially hired at GoExport as an intern for a three-month replacement. She was quickly promoted to project manager, a role she held for almost a year. After naturally standing out within the company, she was offered the position of general manager.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joanie’s greatest achievement\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201c<\/span><\/span>Having built a talented team that continues to impress me every day!\u201d
\nAs for her projects, one that she is most proud of is completing a group trade mission in the self-driving car sector, which is of particular interest to her. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joanie\u2019s greatest challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Overcoming her impostor syndrome.
\n<\/strong>Joanie came into a management position at a relatively young age; she is also the youngest manager in the company. Once she stopped seeing her age as a handicap, the way she manages changed. This confidence in her abilities and credibility was necessary for her professional development and enabled her to meet the challenges of growth at GoExport.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives for 2022\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Develop systems that will allow for greater productivity while ensuring the quality of work done for clients.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Strengthen the team and structure by ensuring that everyone is fulfill at work!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Participate more in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and join a board of directors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>When I take the time to stop and <\/span>think back <\/span>o<\/span>n <\/span>how far <\/span>we<\/span> have come in the last few years, I <\/span>am <\/span>astonished<\/span> and <\/span>impressed<\/span>. I am grateful for this <\/span>enr<\/span>ich<\/span>ing<\/span> experience and especially proud of all our achievements.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

    According to Joanie, without the trust and support of Mathieu and Louis-Philippe, she would not be where she is now. Jean, Manager of the French branch, has been, and remains, one of her most valuable allies. She considers herself lucky to work with extremely competent people\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>who push her to always do her very best.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
